Introducing our new curated beer box program, Folly & Friends! We're teaming up with some of our favourite breweries from around Ontario and bringing them right to your doorstep! 

For our first edition we grabbed some beers from Slake, located in Picton, Prince Edward County. Brewing with 100% Ontario Malts, Slake is producing some absolutely incredible beers, and when allowed to visit, we recommend having a pint at this gorgeous brewery.

We've also teamed up with Half Hours on Earth, Canada's very first Certified Carbon Neutral Brewery, located in Seaforth, Ontario. Much like us they're brewing some of the best funky beers in the province and we couldn't be happier delivering them to you!

Limited quantities available, delivering to postal codes M1-M9, deliveries beginning on January 25th.

Folly:

Bent Corkscrew - Wine Barrel Aged Saison - 7.2% - A Saison fermented with a particularly funky blend of Brett and Saison strains, aged in a wine barrel for 8 months and cellared for six. The oak is quite forward, with baking spices, apricot and cider vinegar being prominent also. Fairly funky, presenting mild barnyard and leathery notes with baking spices and cedar playing supporting roles.

Flemish Cap - Old World Saison - 4.5% - Our classic, dry, crisp and quenching saison, brewed with wheat malt and fermented with  a mixed brett culture from Escarpment Labs in Guelph.

Merlina - English Porter - 4.3% - Our first fermentation with Lutra Kveik and we decided to go with a classic English Porter Base for it! Leading with bittersweet baker's chocolate, this has notes of dark rye crust, cacao nibs, hazelnut, and dark roast coffee with a whisper of raspberry. This is incredibly easygoing, finishing only slightly sweet.

Bipiddy Bop - Mini Brett IPA - 4.3% - Spending three months in tank with a very funky blend of Brett and Saison yeast, this pale beer got a massive dry hop of Citra and a touch of Columbus. Fresh melon, mango and guava are backed up by the funky base of apricot, lemon, straw and a touch of the ‘ole barnyard. 

Slake:

WooHoo - Pils - 5% - This Pilsner is made with floor malted barley locally-sourced from Barn Owl Malt, 50 km away from us. We used a traditional decoction mash to get a more characterful malt flavour.

A generous amount of Saaz hops were added to the kettle, which gives the beer an inviting aroma and a moderate bitterness. It spent 7 weeks cold-conditioning and is naturally carbonated.

Yellow Flowers - Table Beer - 3.5% - Light in body, Yellow Flowers is a low alcohol beer with a bigger flavour profile than you would expect. This refreshing Table Beer has a floral nose and a light malty character. We get lots of orchard fruit flavours – fresh pear and apple blossom. Brewed with 100% Ontario malts.

Half Hours on Earth:

Foreboding Darkness - Farmhouse Altbier - 5.7% - A German lager with a rich malt character, and a secondary fermentation of Saison & Brettanomyces yeasts. 

Silent Circus - Farmhouse Dubbel - 7.8% - A Belgian-style dubbel co-fermented with Brettanomyces alongside a Belgian ale yeast. An addition of Belgian candi syrup adds notes of caramel, plums, and chocolate. Malty sweet, super dry with a subtle funk.
